YOU WILL NEED
High Speed Blender
- 1 Cup Nut Mylk or Coconut Milk
- 1 Handful Spinach (or a couple of leaves for fussy little people)
- 2 Tablespoons Cacao
- 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1 Cup Berries fresh or frozen
- 1 Frozen Banana
Blend for 1-2 minutes and enjoy!
For fussy kids, try without berries and spinach. If they learn to enjoy a ‘chocolate milkshake’ with maple syrup then you can slowly add a couple of good greens. Spinach is one of the easiest greens to disguise, so try only adding a couple of leaves to begin with. There are loads of goodies in here, including good protein from nuts, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, so even though it feels like a ‘treat’, it’s guilt free.
To decorate, top with any favourite pieces of fruit, dried coconut, nuts or seeds. Toasted sunflower seeds are lovely! You just can’t go wrong.
Topping with gluten free granola is a great filling option.
